The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is dedicated to providing a complete Girl Scout experience to girls in kindergarten through third grade that grows along with them, encouraging  girls to continue the Girl Scout  program throughout their adolescent years because it continually adapts to their needs as they become independent young women of courage, confidence and character.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is different than other groups and organizations that provide services to girls. While those organizations focus on activities that last a season, Girl Scouting provides experience that lasts a lifetime. These experiences adapt to each girl, not only as they grow, but as the world changes around them. Through innovative, girl-led programs that engage girls’ curiosity, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore provides affordable opportunities to all girls who wish to participate, encouraging that participation through continually revised programs that connect with girls using the technology they want and the methods they desire.

These actions are critical to achieving the Girl Scout mission and maintaining its vision. While facing limited resources and competition from 21st century life, membership can only be maintained and grow if the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is essential to the lives of all girls. The council’s top priority is using the Girl Scout leadership message to motivate girls in kindergarten through third grade. By doing so, these girls are excited and choose to remain in the Girl Scout program for a lifetime.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore is essential to Monmouth and Ocean counties because it engages the community at every level. Not only are girls encouraged to join through continuous promotion of the Girl Scout message in all communities, civic leaders also embrace the Girl Scout message because of the positive benefit the association brings to their activities. By actively pursuing these associations, parents and adults choose to make a participation commitment to Girl Scouts. That commitment provides all girls their best opportunity for success.

It is only by consistently remaining ahead of its accomplishments with an eye toward the future that the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore continually reaches new heights of success. The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore appreciates those who have chosen Girl Scouts, but is challenged by those who have not yet joined; it takes pride in the opportunities offered to those who participate, but consistently identifies new possibilities for those less active, and it is grateful for its supporters, but always identifies future growth opportunities and continuously reallocates resources to enhance revenue.
