Regional committees are the direct link between local volunteers and the council. In a general sense, these groups are the successors to Service Unit leadership teams. The primary difference is that these committees will perform tasks based on their function and outcome rather than their geographic location. Each committee will work with the regional director and communicate with other key council staff to create Girl Scout opportunities in each community.

Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) Program Committee

This committee will ensure the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is available to all girls within the region and is relevant to the girls' needs and interests. They are responsible for coordinating regional program events, activities and trips. The GSLE Program Committee will oversee and support community volunteers and volunteer teams who will plan and implement community level events, activities or trips that are relevant to the girls' interests and needs. The committee will also provide support to the Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. The committee will work closely with the program department to ensure consistency in the delivery of program events, activities, etc.

Volunteer Support Committee

This committee provides support and mentoring to leaders from the beginning of their interest in Girl Scouting through experienced troop leadership. Members of this committee will provide face-to-face Interview/Orientations, and face-to-face training courses including Leader Training One and GSLE or Girl Scout Program courses for every level. Volunteers who have experience with Girl Scouting policies, procedures, trips, Journeys, girl planning, and conflict resolution are also a part of the committee in order to provide individual and group support and recognition for all volunteers.

Product Sales Committee

This committee coordinates and implements product sales. Volunteers on this committee will provide training, offer help with order submission and booth scheduling, identify and operate cookie/nut depots, assist with incentive distribution and help maximize support and participation in product sales.

Marketing / Communications Committee

This committee will be responsible for regional recruitment efforts. It will coordinate the implementation of marketing and promotional materials in the region as well as identifying opportunities that are unique to the region. The committee will oversee the region's website and other communication tools. Tasks include identification of ideal areas for promotion, delivery of materials, identification of marketing opportunities, web page creation and maintenance and local publicity. Volunteers will work closely with communications staff on implementation of the council communications and marketing plan; and membership staff for implementation of recruitment/retention efforts.

Fund Development Committee

The committee organizes and implements regional Fund Raising activities such as the HUGS Annual Giving Campaign. The committee will organize the regions' participation in other councilwide Fund Raising initiatives and be responsible for communication to members and the public on the importance of philanthropic support of the Council.

Administrative Committee

The Administrative Committee will oversee such functions as regional and troop bank account information, girl and adult membership processing, and other financial and administrative tasks required by the region.
