Do You know someone who attended a GSUSA Destination or
Council Wider Op in the Past?
To celebrate all that Girl Scouting has meant over the last 100 years, Sandy Hook Region is planning a Camporee to be held at Camp Sacajawea from August 3-5, 2012. We would like to use this opportunity to allow those who attended GSUSA Destinations or Council Wider Opportunities to share their experiences with younger girls who may be interested in participating in a future event.
If you or someone you know has previously participated in a GSUSA Destination or Council Wider Op, there are two ways you can help:
- Make a tri-fold display, album, video, or DVD about your trip which you’re willing to leave on display at the Camporee.
- Volunteer some time at Camporee making yourself available at the GSUSA Destination and Council Wider Ops table to talk about your experiences and answer any questions.
The time you spend putting together your display and/or sharing your expertise may just inspire some amazing adventures! If you’d like to help out, please contact Sara Diaz by emailing
