altThe girls of Neon Spirit Robotics Team, had a long but fantastic day yesterday! We started with the first robot match of the day, did a very clean run with only few missed missions and ended up posting score of 150  We were all in complete shock that that score stuck as #1 position thru the end of 1st round.  We dropped to 4th by end of 3 rounds since we were already close to our max potential score and other teams put in some good runs, but we did well as judging too and ended up with 3rd place Champion's Award.  We went in expecting nothing so it's still sinking in for all of us. So....looks like we're going to the State Competition in Delaware after all, that was totally unplanned! Thanks you to the girls of the GSJS Robotics Team, Electro Llamas, for lending us their mat, we would not have accomplished so much starting to program robots only in September. Congratulations girls and good luck in Delaware! Take a look at the Neon Spirit photo gallery! - Michele Donnelly, Coach

Daisy/Brownie Troop1352 from Keansburg celebrated Juliette Gordon Low's birthday and held their 2nd annual Halloween Costume Party. They welcomed new girls to the troop. The girls danced to Halloween music, made popcorn candy hands using candycorn for the nails, and made candy necklaces and foam Halloween shapes. The troop played games as such as hot potato pumpkin and plant the smile on the skeleton. They had a pizza party and had two candy piñata’s and ended the meeting with awards and goodie bags.
