altThe  Brownies of Troop 231 have been working on earning their Painting Badge this season. For Step 5 of the badge, the troop plans to create a mural about their Girl Scout fun. The completed mural will be displayed, along with the rest of their Painting Badge artwork, at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library on March 10, 2012 for the Big Birthday Bash. The final mural will be made up of five canvases hinged together and measure four feet tall by fifteen feet wide. The girls began the planning process by brainstorming their favorite Girl Scout memories. Each girl drew five thumbnail sketches, one for each panel of the mural depicting their personal favorites. After sharing their sketches with one another, they were able to determine the top favorite themes. Take a look at the Mural Planning photo gallery.
