These Brownies worked diligently on Operation Christmas Cards for the Military. One of the girls' moms hosted the event at her house and the cards were addressed to military personnel to thank them for serving and for keeping us safe and free, wishing them a very merry holiday, and prayers for them to come home safe. The girls were quite creative.

Having a late start with new leaders this year, the Brownies of Troop 986 manned two nut booth sales, one on Nov. 12 in front of Dunkin Donuts, Route 35, and the other on Nov. 19 in front of Jersey Mikes, Allaire Road. The girls worked together, made a really cute nut song which drew many customers to their table, had fun and made a lot of money. Their leaders are so proud of them!

Here is a photograph of Monica at the Monmouth Service Center, who is always so helpful. I have observed her and Kristen assisting any leader who walks through the store door. I know they have been particularly helpful to me, as a new leader of Troop 986. Both of them are assets to Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore and the Monmouth Service Center.
